Your Personalisation Guide — How to Create Something Truly Personal

What can be engraved?

Almost any text, simple illustration, or vector design can be laser engraved. The most common personalisation choices are:

  • Names (first name, surname, or both)
  • A couple's names together
  • Dates (birth dates, wedding dates, anniversaries)
  • Short messages and quotes
  • Initials and monograms
  • Simple icons and illustrations (supplied as vector artwork)
  • Logos (supplied as vector artwork)

Text and fonts

We have a library of fonts available — from clean and modern to elegant script and handwritten styles. When you place your order, let us know the style of feel you are after (formal, casual, elegant, playful) and we will recommend options.

Tip: Avoid very thin, delicate fonts for small items — finer detail can be lost at small engrave sizes.

Using photographs

Photographs can be engraved, but they need to be converted into an engraving-suitable format first. We convert photographs to a high-contrast engraving version and will show you how it will look before proceeding. For best results, choose a photograph with clear contrast and a well-defined subject.

Supplying your own artwork

If you have a logo, illustration, or custom design you want engraved, supply it as an SVG or AI file (vector format). Clean vector artwork with clearly defined lines and shapes engraves best.

Character limits

  • Small keyrings: 1–2 short lines of text
  • Standard keyrings: 2–3 lines, up to approximately 25 characters per line
  • Larger items (boards, plaques, frames): much more flexibility
